HRSA releases April COVID vax injury compensated cases + YTD is horrible

What would you say if one of the largest federal agencies, the specific agency in charge of compensation for COVID-19 vaccine related injuries only compensated one claim for all of 2024? Only one. And the money awarded was for reimbursement of medical expenses not covered by health insurance. Just one claim.

That is the state of our own HRSA, the agency in charge of administering the compensation of injured persons from all countermeasures related to COVID-19 virus.

HRSA just released their April CICP compensation statistics. And we should not expect anything positive. Just a pathetic operation. They continue to disappoint.

The only compensated petition (accurately described as medical expense reimbursement) marks the 12th comp case overall.

Just one comp since March 5th. A COVID-19 vaccine causing syncope. A fainting injury. It is still serious. The injured petitioner fainted, fell to the ground, maybe suffering a concussion, highly possible jaw and dental injuries.

The comp totaled $4,493.00 to cover unreimbursed medical expenses. That makes 12 petitions compensated for a total of $39,203 since 2021.

While HRSA was working “feverously” to award comp for this one petition, they quietly dismissed 67 petitions since March.

Year to Date shows how sluggish HRSA processed claims.

YTD Claims compensated - 1 that’s correct. Only 1 claim has been compensated for 2024

YTD Claims dismissed - 527 cases. Of that number, 222 are missing filing deadlines.

YTD petitions filed - 262. As of Jan 1, 2024 petitions received 12,854. As of April 1, 2024 petitions received - 13,116

HRSA is not getting overwhelmed by the # of petitions received. Maybe Congress can ask one of the many HRSA administrators why petition processing is slow.
